Fireworks Spread Across The Country

Banned or Keep by: George and Jahna Fireworks are spreading around the country in different shops and people are buying AND stealing them. People play tricks with them and some people use them for family Celebrations. As a group we decided to pick if we want fireworks to be banned or if we think new zealand should keep them. We decided to go for banning fireworks FOREVER.		We think fireworks should be banned because it really dangerous and lots of people are being hurt because a small group of people are doing stupid things with fireworks and with that small groups, its effecting the whole of new zealand from the amount of people that get injured and also cause fires which is effecting the fire department and hospitals around towns.

Georges Inquiry Reflection.

I choose to work on Factory Farming because I think Animals should have a life that they want to live.

When working with the group I choose to work on making an Interview script and Making a movie.

The way my group worked together was in the one big group that we were in we split in to little groups so that we can work on different things and get the work done.

Next time that I am in a group I will need to maybe help out more and try to get a leader role in the big group.

I predict that our group will do very well to help stop Factory Farming and give money to an organisation that works on the same topic.

I feel proud of what our groups effort and work have done so far because we have listened to each other and worked together to succeed for whatever we want to change…

Georges Social Dancing Reflection.

We have been learning Dances for the end of the year Social.

I think we do Social Dancing because it makes learning more fun and it teaches you how to dance and it gets you ready for the end year 7 social.

Before we started Social Dancing, I felt really excited because the way Miss Garland told us how fun it was in her old school she taught at.

I already had experience with dancing because I do gymnastics and I dance at home so I thought I had an advantage to beat the boys as the best Dancer.

When I am doing dancing, I feel happy because I think its fun when we partner dance because i'm not nervous like other boys in my class.

I feel like this because I think its fun and when we go outside to get ready to dance all the boys don't like and don't know how to dance.

Social Dancing would be better if all the boys in my class do the dance properly so that TK will win as the best social dancers in year 7.

My thoughts about the dance are all HAPPY.

Maths With Mrs Wright

In Maths with Mrs Wright we have been learning about Patterns.
We have used an app on the school ipads called Popplet.
It has been awesome learning about patterns

Class Pet

Gold fish

If a child had a pet have you ever seen them without it?

Jacob and I think that our class should have some goldish.

You have to get some goldfish because it will change the classes attitude and the class will like you better as a cool teacher.

We think Goldfish would be a great pet for our class to have because they're not to small, not to big and there a really cool goldish colour.

Gold Fish can eat weetabix crumbs, bread crumbs and pretty much anything small or crumby.

If you don't feed Goldfish the right food they could get really sick BUTTttttttttt, the food that goldfish eat are really cheap thats only a problem if you don’t feed them anything.

Children wouldn’t want to come to school if we didn’t have a class pet.

In side the Goldfishes heart they are sad sitting at the pet shop in a horrible dirty tank, just waiting for a customer to pick them up.

If we had a pet that could run around in the class it would distract us from our learning.

YOU will be imagining darkness, black, shadow, wet, damp, dark, nightmares, night with no stars and you will feel like a pin has been through you.

MISS GARLAND if you had a caring heart you would do this for our class…

Cross country Expectation

On the 15th of August the Havelock North Intermediate Cross Country will be on.

The length of the cross country is 2.5k, I don't really like running Cross Countries and the running side of Triathlons.
The Cross Country starting line will be held at H.N.I the end of the obstacle course on the field.

As I said before: "I don't like running", it's really not my type of thing and i'm not really looking forward to the Cross Country...
I think I would not do very well because from my past Cross Countries that I've been through and had to stop because of a twisted ankle or having an asthma attack at the end of the cross country.

Some people say its not that much 2.5k but I don't know how long 2.5k is so it will be interesting to see the Cross Country track in P.E practices, to see how long it really is.

The Respiratory System

The Respiratory System is a compilation of the Trachea, Lungs and The Diaphragm.

When you are reading this story you are breathing in lots of Oxygen.

That Oxygen that you breath in is going down and through your Trachea.

This first part is all the beginning of the Respiratory System.

When you breath in through your nose some of the dust that you might breathe in dosent go in and through you trachea because the nose hair keep most of the dust out.

From your Trachea it goes into your Lungs, there's round about 30,000 little Bronchioles that are attached to your Trachea which lead into to your Lungs.The Lungs puff and go bigger as you breath in, and that's when your Diaphragm Drops.

In the first part of this process you were breathing in oxygen, now when you Breathe out you are breathing out carbon dioxide which is the used Oxygen from when you breathed in before.You Breathe out when the Diaphragm comes back up and the lungs aren't puffed and they're ready for the next fresh oxygen that comes from the sky.

The Respiratory System is important because its all about breathing and you wouldn't be alive if you didn't breathe because you heart will stop and the process will stop and the Oxygen wouldn't be able to go through your body.

Mini Olympics

In Maths we are learning about measuring in lots of different ways,
today Miss Garland set the class up with a mini Olympics game/tournament.
The Maths out of this game is that we have to measure the length of long jump, shot put, javelin, Archery and flight.
We used Tiddly Winks for Long Jump, we also used a balloon for Shot put, we also used a straw for javelin, we also used an Elastic Band for Archery and we used and balloon for flight.
My favorite task was Long Jump (Tiddly Winks), because I love flicking things.
I would say I need to work on shot put (balloon) because the balloon that we used was really light and you had to through the balloon when the wind was calm.
Altogether I really liked the Mini Olympics and I thought it was a great idea!!!

The Digestive System

Digestion is important for breaking down food into nutrients, which the body uses for energy and growth.

As you see or smell something Delicious food the Digestive System starts.

As you put something in your mouth you start chewing and as you chew your breaking and grinding the food up into smaller pieces so it will be able to go down through your Esophagus, saliva helps it go down.

The Esophagus is like a big long tube that goes down your body but stops at your Stomach. The mushed up food is pushed down the Esophagus and reaches the Stomach.

Once it gets into your stomach it comes out the other side and it goes through your small intestine. The average size of your small intestine is 6 meters or 20 feet long, thats pretty long.

After it goes through you small intestine it then goes through your large intestine which is about the average of 1.5 meters of 5 feet long.

After all of that the waste goes to the exit which is out your bum and into the toilet.

Couldn't it get any worse, I get captured and got flown away from Jem, I had all these imaginations about what we were to do together, when we or if we get out of the rotten fish tank, well I think it was a fish tank.

Well, shes not coming back for me, I bet she'll just stay there, find her way to sea and find another octopus to care about, I can’t believe I’m said that but its probably true.

Then on the other side “oh hell no” says Jem,

I grab my tentacles and stretch them on the two poles that were holding the power lines I was standing on and pushed my self back and slinked over to my Tommy!!!

P.E Rippa Rugby

In P.E my class and I have been learning and playing Rippa Rugby.
We have been practicing and learning Rippa for two weeks,
In the first week we did lots of ripping, running back, side stepping and passing back!!!
Then at the end of the session we would play a short Rippa Game.
In the next week we would play rugby games and use the Techniques week learnt in the week before,
Then we would play against different classes.
I put in a lot of effort into practicing and playing Rippa Rugby, its really fun but you need a lot of skill to play.
I improved a little bit in getting through people and not letting people rip me and also catching the rugby ball!!

My Awesome Birthday

My Birthday

I woke up on the 3rd of May, so EXCITED!!! I ran down the corridor and I saw on the couch, a whole bunch of present’s there, It was my birthday, it has finally come, i’ve been counting for weeks now and it’s here all in one couch. I had the whole day planned. Movie’s, Pool’s, Portal 2 and Minecraft, just me and my best friend.

I opened my presents and got ready quickly, then we went to pick up bryn.

I went to Bryn’s house and we got in the car and off we go to get Sushi, and to the cinemas to watch The Amazing Spider Man 2 in 3d!!!

When we got our sushi and hided it in my sister’s bag, and went into the Cinemas Theatre, When the movie was on we got the sushi out, no one saw us but i’m pretty sure the other people could smell us.

We smelt a bit fishy but I think the other people just got over it.

When the movie was finished, I walked out the theatre feeling Like I have thousand’s of Spider Man’s webs all over me (cause of the 3d glasses)!

When we got out the whole Cinema Gold, we got in the car and off we go to the Onikawa Pool’s.

We turned up at The Okinawa Pool’s all prepared and ready to get Splashed.

Bryn and I went straight to the slide’s and we had lots of races until we got tired.

The slide’s line was pretty long so sometimes we would both jump in the pool

and every 2 minutes we would look up and see if the line was short,

We did that for a long time .

We were there for about 4 hours, we wanted to stay longer but the pool’s closed at 6pm.

Just before we got dressed and left we went in the spa,

and then we left to go home!!!

We got home, got our laptop’s and ran straight to the couch.

When we were on our laptops we had to stop to get all our stuff ready for the night, we slept in the room beside the swinging chair and we got our sleeping bags, torches and laptop’s.

We were on our laptop’s most of the night playing Minecraft and Portal 2 , after we got off our Laptop’s we were just playing with the torches all night.
